Season the chicken all over with the Essence and 1/2 teaspoon of the salt. Place the 1/2 cup flour in a small bowl, and quickly dredge both sides of each thigh in the flour, shaking to remove any excess. Set aside.</div>

<li class="directions-item" style="-webkit-tap-highlight-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0) !important; box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 1em; outline: none !important; padding: 0px;"><div class="directions-item-text" style="-webkit-tap-highlight-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0) !important; box-sizing: border-box; outline: none !important; padding: 0px;">
Heat 1 teaspoon of the olive oil in a 10- to 12-inch flameproof casserole or saute pan over medium-high heat. Add 2 tablespoons of the butter, and when it has melted, place the chicken, skin side down, in the pan. Brown for 2 minutes on each side. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.</div>

Add the remaining 1 tablespoon butter to the pan, and when it has melted, add the onions, garlic, thyme bundle or rosemary sprigs, remaining 1/2 teaspoon then whisk in the chicken stock and increase the heat to high. Return the chicken, skin side down, to the pan, and bring the stock to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover the pan with a heavy, tight-fitting lid, and simmer for 15 minutes.</div>

TOTAL TIME<br/>
30 mins<br/>
<br/>INGREDIENTS<br/>
¾ lb Italian sausage<br/>
4 cloves garlic, finely chopped<br/>
1 tablespoon olive oil<br/>
1½ cups milk, plus ¼ cup for the sauce<br/>
1½ cups chicken broth, plus ¼ cup for the sauce<br/>
1 (16 oz) jar roasted red peppers, drained and pureed (you can do this in a food processor or blender)<br/>
8 oz goat cheese<br/>
½ cup grated parmesan<br/>
Salt and pepper, to taste<br/>
3 handfuls fresh spinach<br/>
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste<br/>
12 oz pasta of your choice<br/>
DIRECTIONS<br/>
Remove the casing from the sausage and discard the casing. To do this, simply cut along the side of the sausage with a sharp knife and peel off the pierced casing with your fingers.<br/>
In a large pot or high-walled pan, saute the sausage meat with the garlic and olive oil over medium heat, until browned.<br/>
Stir in chicken broth, pureed roasted red pepper, milk and pasta. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat and simmer until pasta is cooked through, about 12 minutes. If the liquid has all been absorbed, add the additional milk and chicken broth.<br/>
Stir in spinach, 1 handful at a time, and cook until wilted and hot.<br/>
Stir in the goat cheese and parmesan. Continue to stir until melted. Remove from heat and serve.</p></div><br/>Michael Truitthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03589111577983541283noreply@blogger.com0Franklin, United States36.6624265 -76.9309939tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2283166326186195233.post-22137232183997690512016-01-02T11:22:00.000-08:002016-01-02T11:25:20.268-08:00Lemon Blue Berry Bread<div style="text-align: center; padding: 5px;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-2R_Nwpt5ztE/VogkH7RiLpI/AAAAAAAAJHg/g6POQfrHG4I/2016-01-02%25252014.20.37.jpg"><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-2R_Nwpt5ztE/VogkH7RiLpI/AAAAAAAAJHg/g6POQfrHG4I/2016-01-02%25252014.20.37.jpg cursor: pointer;" width="320px" style="border: 1px solid; border-radius: 2px;padding: 5px; max-width: 320px " /></a></div><div class="blogaway-section"><p><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-WAFL-iivO0Y/VogjgopZDhI/AAAAAAAAJHY/NhXF3wbufLI/lemon-blueberry-bread-recipe-everydaydishes_com-TH-740x486.jpg cursor: pointer;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-WAFL-iivO0Y/VogjgopZDhI/AAAAAAAAJHY/NhXF3wbufLI/lemon-blueberry-bread-recipe-everydaydishes_com-TH-740x486.jpg"></a><br/>

Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. <br/>
Then add eggs and beat thoroughly. <br/>

<br/>English Toffee<br/>
<br/>Yield: 24 bites or one 11x7 pan<br/>
<br/>Ingredients:<br/>
<br/>1 cup unsalted butter<br/>
1 cup granulated sugar<br/>
1/4 tsp kosher salt<br/>
1/2 tsp vanilla extract<br/>
12oz milk chocolate, melted<br/>
1 cup unblanched whole almonds<br/>
1 cup finely ground walnuts<br/>
<br/>Directions:<br/>
<br/>On a foil lined baking dish (11x7)- or in a silicone brownie bite pan (with 24 bites)- arrange almonds in a single layer. Set aside.<br/>
In a heavy pan, combine butter,  sugar, salt, and vanilla extract. Cook over medium-high heat with a wooden spoon until butter melts, stirring constantly. (REALLY STIRRING CONSTANTLY)! <br/>
Bring mixture to a rolling boil. Continue boiling (AND STIRRING) an additional 5-7 minutes until candy turns the color of almonds (about 300 degrees). Pour over almonds. If using the brownie bite pan, I use a small metal scoop to get toffee into each bite, working quickly!<br/>
Cool completely.<br/>
When candy is cooled and set (about 2 hours), spread chocolate over top of toffee. Sprinkle generously with ground walnuts. <br/>
If doing both sides, use only half of the chocolate and walnuts. <br/>
Allow top to set before flipping over and doing bottom. <br/>
When set, pop out of silicone pan and store in a airtight containers. OR cut into pieces. ENJOY! <br/></p></div><br/>Michael Truitthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03589111577983541283noreply@blogger.com0Franklin, United States36.6623864 -76.9310033tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2283166326186195233.post-38159781520205820692015-07-20T18:41:00.001-07:002015-07-24T02:19:06.528-07:00Skillet Chicken Ravioli<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="MsoNormal">
Prevent it</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Studies have shown that employee theft and embezzlement cost
the U.S. economy as much as a billion dollars every year. And now, unfortunately for you and every
other employer, current economic conditions and easy access to casino gambling
are increasing employees’ temptation to take what does not belong to them.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
<div class="MsoNormal">
Do you consider your business immune to employee theft? Look
at the numerous reports of embezzlement and other employee schemes that have occurred
recently in <a href="http://www.salisburypost.com/Crime/022211-WEB-Cops-Burrell-Harrington-embezzlement-qcd">North
Carolina</a> and understand that you are sadly mistaken. Expert estimate that as many as 30% of all
employees do steal and that another 60%, that is 60 percent will do so if given
sufficient motivate and opportunity. It only makes sense to take steps to
protect your business from this big, big problem.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Taking measure to reduce the risk of employee theft is often
simple and inexpensive. In some cases
you will even increase productivity and create improved management-employee
relations as the same time. Clear policies and division of tasks among
employees make it easier for employees to be productive and to manage these
employees.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Here are some simple and effective theft-prevention
strategies.</div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;">
<!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol;">·<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt;">
</span></span><!--[endif]-->HIRE PEOPLE WITH PROVEN TRACK RECORDS. Your background
checks and pre-employment screening for potential new hires for sensitive
financial positions, including those who will have control of bank accounts or receipts,
should be more thorough than those for other positions.</div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;">
<!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol;">·<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt;">
</span></span><!--[endif]-->SET AN EXAMPLE. Employees need to know that one uniform
ethical standard applies to everyone. If people in management position are seen
dipping into petty cash, fudging on expense accounts, or taking home equipment,
everyone else will feel justified in doing the same.</div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;">
<!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol;">·<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt;">
</span></span><!--[endif]-->DIVIDE TASKS AMONG EMPLOYEES. Task involving the
flow of funds should be assigned to several employees, not just one. For example, the person who receives and
opens the mail should not be the same person who pays the bills. It is a sensible way to prevent one employee
from obtaining too much authority, and it helps forestall collusion between
employees or between an employee and a vendor.</div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;">
<!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol;">·<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt;">
</span></span><!--[endif]-->INSPECT AND AUDIT. Conduct regular inspections and audits of
inventories and bookkeeping. Of course it’s a primary way to catch cheating,
but it’s also much harder to detect embezzlement when books and records are
sloppy, or non-existent </div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;">
<!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol;">·<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt;">
</span></span><!--[endif]-->KNOW THE USUAL SCHEMES. Some cheating strategies are use again and
again. Keep your eyes open for forged receipts,
fictitious vendors or payroll, overbilled expenses, checks made payable to cash
or multiple checks to the same employees, and purchasing fraud.</div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;">
<!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol;">·<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt;">
</span></span><!--[endif]-->SET CLEAR POLICIES. Your employee handbook should contain a clear
policy on ethical behavior, and every employee should be required to sign it. The
policy should emphasize that there is no such thing as an acceptable amount of
employee crime and that the amount that will be tolerated is NONE</div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;">
<!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol;">·<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt;">
</span></span><!--[endif]-->LOOK FOR THE SIGNS. Internal theft often leaves signs, like a
sudden increase in living standards, management level personnel who insist on
handling clerical task, and customer complaints about inconsistencies in
billing, pricing, or shipments. Watch for them.</div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;">
<!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol;">·<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt;">
</span></span><!--[endif]-->EDUCATE YOUR EMPLOYEES. Use training and employee awareness programs
to inform your workers about stealing problems and show them how to be on the
lookout for cheating and theft.</div>Michael Truitthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03589111577983541283noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2283166326186195233.post-54328641900277059252012-03-26T06:15:00.002-07:002012-03-26T06:15:31.135-07:00Cucumber Dill Salad<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
